KNOW the number of sexual partners your partner has had: heterosexual, bi-sexual or homosexual
KNOW when your partner was last tested for STDs or HIV
KNOW if your partner always practices using a condom during sex
KNOW if your partner uses alcohol, drugs or an intravenous (IV) drug user?
KNOW the kinds of sexual contacts your partner has had: "tricks, "one night stands," multiple partners, celibacy or monogamous with one partner
KNOW the kinds of sexual encounters has: In partner’s home, bars, dance clubs, strip clubs, parties, "public restrooms, autos etc.
KNOW if your partner has had sex with someone with a high-risk for HIV
HIV Risk Factors
HIV crosses all cultures, national borders and religions. Anyone of any age, race, sex or sexual orientation can be infected. Take responsibility for your health and the health of your sexual partner. Many factors must be considered in assessing your health and fitness. Among these are:
Have you ever had sex with someone without positively knowing if he/she had HIV?
Have you had sex with many partners or had sex with someone who has had sex with partners?
Have you ever had unprotected anal, oral, or vaginal sex?
Have you ever had any sexually transmitted disease such as genital warts, genital herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, bacterial vaginosis, chlamydia; hepatitis or HPV ?
Have you ever had sex when high, while using alcohol or drugs?
Have you ever shared needles when doing drugs or nicked yourself on someone's needle?
Have you ever had sex with an intravenous (IV) drug user?
