 We are striving to have people come out of the dark about their HIV status. "Testing is Prevention - Knowing Is Positive!" | Knowing is POSITIVE, is an HIV awareness campaign targeting women of color and their partners by rewarding the behavior of taking an HIV test and raising HIV/AIDS awareness through service, song and celebration. Under a HIV/AIDS Community-Partnership Initiative, My Music-My Choice is producing an HIV Awareness CD entitled “Knowing is POSITIVE” to serve as an outreach tool to reach high risk target groups. The promotional CD will contain songs, poetry, and minuets from the personal life stories of African-Americans living with HIV as well as HIV Facts and Public Service Announcements. No long lectures series but pertinent community health information delivered through edu-tainment to high risk groups. Our slogan 'Knowing is POSITIVE' was created to affirm that it is a positive move to know your HIV status and if you are HIV Positive, seek treatment.
