Housing Works serves New York's homeless HIV population with housing, food, social services, harm reduction and other drug treatment services, medical and mental health care, and employment opportunities. It raises funds through self-run thrift shops and a book café. The group also has an advocacy and lobbying arm in Albany, N.Y. and Washington, D.C., holds an annual 24-hour vigil on World AIDS Day and sponsors the Campaign to End AIDS (C2EA), a national mobilization to turn PWAs into activists.

The Luck Care Center is a private African-American-owned-and-operated HIV/AIDS clinic primarily serving the black population of Chicago's South Side. The clinic provides primary care, case management, treatment adherence, mental health, substance abuse, prevention and other support services. It also conducts clinical trials, studying how HIV and HIV treatment may differ in African Americans with HIV.
